Pek Kio - somewhat between P2-HA and P3

Starting this week, June 21, Singapore went into a semi-relaxed Phase 2 - Heightened Alert state. Dining in is now allowed for up to a maximum of 2 persons a table. This was the situation in the Pek Kio Food Centre and Market earlier today at about 11am.

Crowds have not returned in force yet. But there were queues at the more popular stalls, and even then, less than it would have been under more normal circumstances. The 2 pax dining in rule is well observed. And though also from June 21, the "return your tray" rule has started, the Pek Kio area still have aunties in their trolleys helping to clear the trays and bowls after one is done with it.

Business seem slow for most stall holders.

Just across a couple of corridors, the wet market has also seen larger crowds. But this fruit stall seemed to be well stocked.

As usual, photographed with Hasselblad H3D-39 with HCD 4/28, shot hand held.
