Old school barber shop. The traditional barber shop in a tiny shop below HDB flats are still operational, but this one is a rather old school one in Tiong Bahru Plaza. These neighbourhood barbers usually offer no frills cuts, and wet blade shaves. Usually owner operated, sometimes with a few of his friends.
And just a few doors away, QB House, a huge no-frills barber from Japan. These are not owner operated, and offer simple hair cuts with emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene.
